Energy-saving light management systems

Every company now has a focus on environmental friendliness. We all know that the earth is warming up, so it is important to be environmentally conscious, for example by saving energy. The energy costs are also getting higher, so when savings can be made, this is of course always advantageous for your company. A lot of energy can be saved on light, of course when you switch to LED lighting. But through light management systems, lighting can be used efficiently, saving energy. In this blog, we tell you more about the different types of light management systems.

Motion detection and daylight-dependent lighting systems

If a room is already illuminated by natural light, there is, of course, no artificial light required. And when nobody is present in the room at all, this room does not need to be illuminated either. That is why lighting systems are being developed based on presence detection and daylight control. When this is combined with energy-saving LED lighting, high light efficiency is created. Up to 80% in costs can be saved if a combination of presence detection, motion detection, and daylight detection is chosen.

Flexible lighting that makes areas of application change

Certain areas are used for different applications in different buildings. Consider, for example, a canteen room that can not only be used for eating lunch, but also for a large conference or meeting, or even for a company party. This is only possible if the lighting is so flexible that the room can change its application. A number of things are needed for this, such as a light planning tailored to the anticipated needs, but also a control system that can switch on, demand switch off the lighting groups. This can be done with the help of pre-programmed lighting scenes. With this, an office space can, for example, be transformed into a reception area and a sports hall can be transformed into a party room!

Scenographic lighting

Then there is also scenographic lighting. This, of course, has a lot to do with stage sets, but can also be used in everyday buildings and spaces. Different dynamic applications based on LED lighting, with control of light color and intensity, are possible. With this, for example, the lighting can be adjusted entirely according to preference or mood. Dynamic lighting is very useful when responding to work processes. The lighting can be adjusted to the mood here, which stimulates productivity. In addition, it can also apply to sales processes to improve the customer experience or to healing processes by, for example, influencing the mood with the lighting.
